The basic form of love is 'to love' (using to- infinitive), it means love is a verb. Something needs action to make it really happened. More specific, love is a transitive verb. The transitive verb is a verb that requires one or more objects. So, there will being an incorrect thing if someone say "hey, I love".
She loves her mom. It is simple present tense, but not as simple as it pattern. She get to prove it by action. Unless she prepared to be underestimated, or the worst is to be accused as a liar.
So understand what 'love' is, and be ready for the consequences followed before you pick someone or something to you love to.
